[November 19, 2009] Huawei Completes ngHLR Project in Indonesia Tweet SHENZHEN, Nov 19, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has installed a couple of next-generation home location registers (ngHLRs) in the Indonesia-based telecoms network of the multinational operator Hutchison Telecommunications International Ltd. (NYSE: HTX). Equipped in two key areas of the Indonesian capital city of Jakarta, the HLRs are expected to serve more than 16 million telecoms customers, meeting Hutchison Telecommunications International's pursuit for larger user base. Besides, the registers can facilitate the telecoms operator to carry out centralized network management as well as improve the dependability of consumer data. Huawei's ATCA platform-based ngHLRs are capable of serving over 100 million users at most and supporting the smooth UCS upgrade of telecoms networks. By the third quarter of 2009, the company had accumulatively provided about 750-million-line ngHLRs for over 50 telecoms networks in more than 40 countries.
