Etisalat Offers Double Your Minute Promo(AllAfrica.com Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) In its relentless move to continue satisfying its subscribers, the innovative telecommunications giant, Etisalat, has once again stormed the market with another mouth watering promotion tagged "double your minute". This comes on the heels of its recently concluded 3-in-1 9jillions promotion, which came to a close last week with the emergence of a one million dollar winner. The "double your minute promotion", which is designed to reward subscribers with 1 free minute for every minute spent talking to another Etisalat subscriber is open to new and existing subscribers on Easy Starter and Easy Cliq packages. The two months promo commences from 1st November till 31st December 2009. Explaining the mechanics of the promotion, Etisalat Chief Marketing Officer, Wael Ammar said; "for every one minute call a subscriber makes to an Etisalat number, the subscriber gets one minute free. The free minutes can, however, only be used for calls made within the network." Wael disclosed that the promotion is one of Etisalat's numerous ways of consistently rewarding customers for their loyalty and patronage while encouraging better bonding and friendship with loved ones. According to him, "The customer has always been at the centre of our business. So we have designed the current promotion in such a way that every subscriber on the network is a winner. All the subscriber has to do is make calls and talk with his loved ones on the Etisalat network as long as he wants. The more he talks, the more he is rewarded, because we understand the need of the subscriber to reach out to loved ones, particular at this festive season". He noted that the first bonus granted will be valid for 30 days from the day it is granted, while subsequent bonus granted will have no validity different from the validity of the first bonus; and all accumulated bonus will expire on the 30th day that the first bonus was granted. However, the next bonus granted after the expiration of the validity becomes another first bonus with 30 days validity and the scenario continues like that till the end of the promo. According to the CMO, "the bonus airtime can only be used for outgoing on-net local calls; no bonus airtime can be used on outgoing international calls or calls made while roaming." Only last week, the company concluded its 9jillions promotion, where it gave away one million dollars as grand prize; the largest singular cash prize winning by an individual in the history of Africa. A total of N301,000,000 (three hundred and one million naira) along with 4,320 high end mobile phones were also given out at various times during the four month long promotion.
