Romtelecom deploys Comptel's OSS for CDMA network

Nov 18, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Comptel, a provider of operations support system software, has announced that Romtelecom has deployed Comptel Provisioning and Activation to manage its multi-vendor CDMA network.

Comptel Provisioning and Activation solution automates the provisioning and activation processes. With a single interface, it covers the entire workflow, from service order to start of billing, Comptel said.

Comptel has said that the multi-vendor, multi-network solution has a library of over 450 different interface types, offering out-of-the-box support for new network elements. At Romtelecom, the solution integrates seamlessly with their SOA architecture and is used for provisioning and activation of their Huawei and ZTE CDMA networks.

Fotis Karonis, chief information officer of Romtelecom, said: "Romtelecom is using the CDMA license to complement its services' portfolio via wireless broadband, offering its customers the full range of broadband products, as well as to serve areas not within the coverage of the present fix line infrastructure. Comptel's wide experience and the reliable Comptel dynamic operations support system (OSS) platform supported us in finalizing the project in a shorter period of time." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
