NTT Communications collaborates with Conexus Mobile Alliance

Nov 18, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- NTT Communications has agreed with Conexus Mobile Alliance, a cooperative association of Asia-Pacific mobile operators, to deliver enterprise smartphone solutions that multinational corporations can use to support its expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

As part of providing these solutions, NTT Communications also will offer consultation on applicable smartphones and tariff plans in countries and regions where Conexus members have a presence.

NTT Com's solutions will be based on hosted exchange package of global messaging built with Microsoft Exchange, the company's suite of cloud-based enterprise groupware for applications such as webmail, scheduling and file management.

According to NTT Communications, Global Messaging is offered under its BizCITY concept of providing secure access to enterprise services from anyplace at anytime. When used via smartphones, Hosted Exchange package of Global Messaging provides customers with secure, convenient access to office communication applications with minimal time and place constraints.

NTT Communications has said that the enterprises using Global Messaging can reduce total cost of ownership including startup costs by optionally outsourcing the management and operation of multiple groupware applications and mail servers to its data centers.
