[November 18, 2009] BRIEF: 'Kokua for the Pacific' raises $155,000 for disaster victims Tweet Nov 18, 2009 (The Honolulu Advertiser - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Sunday's "Kokua for the Pacific" event raised $155,000 to benefit victims of recent natural disasters in American Samoa, the Philippines and Indonesia. Some of Hawai'i's top performers took the stage at the Aloha Tower from 1 to 5 p.m. to help raise money to aid the victims. The show was telecast on local TV and was presented by Clear Channel Hawaii. When the event ended, $155,000 had been raised, organizers said.
