Jabra Stone Bluetooth headsetNov 18, 2009 (McClatchy Newspapers - McClatchy-Tribune News Service via COMTEX) -- Product: Jabra Stone Bluetooth headset. Features: Comes in one size and fits in the right ear. Weighs only 0.25 ounces. The headset has two hours of talk time, but the stone-shaped charger holds three full charges for when you need power on the go. Price: $129. Ups: It's very easy to use. All you have to deal with is the answer/hang-up button at the base. Rolling a finger up and down the front adjusts the volume. The charger "stone" makes for a useful way to safely store your headset when it's not in use. Downs: It's not adjustable and was a terrible fit for my ear. It would rest in my ear fine, but it would fall right out if I tilted my head. I had several people try it on, and it fit fine for about half of them. (Maybe I just have dainty ears?) The biggest issue was the sound quality. Although it's marketed as having technology that enhances the quality of your voice, everyone I spoke with said I sounded pretty bad _ worse than other Bluetooth headsets I've tested, like the Jawbone. Bottom line: Between the poor fit and my friends reporting it had poor sound quality, this was an overall disappointment (even though the stone-shaped charger was pretty cool). ___ (c) 2009, The Miami Herald.
