[November 18, 2009] 'Antitrust imposes EUR 8.3 mln in fines for mobile content' Tweet Nov 18, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- Between 2007 and 2009, Italy's Competition and Market Authority concluded 19 investigations and imposed penalties for EUR 8.36 million for unfair trade practices in the purchase of multimedia content for mobile phones. Together with the proceedings initiated before the entry into force of the EU directive on consumer protection (August 2007), the total penalties increased to EUR 9.04 million. These figures are included in the report of the Antitrust's activities presented by Director General, Paolo Saba.
