Savannah River Site to discuss jobs in Orangeburg, S.C.Nov 13, 2009 (The Times and Democrat - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- The U.S. Department of Energy's Road To Recovery Tour will come to Orangeburg to provide information on job training, employment assistance programs and Recovery Act jobs available at the Savannah River Site. The event will be held today at the Orangeburg ESC One-Stop at 1804 Joe S. Jeffords Highway from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Those who attend can learn how they can access job and training opportunities through state and federal programs like the Workforce Investment Act. Participants can learn important tips on job interviewing skills, get assistance in building a resume and learn how to secure free e-mail account services for their job searches via the Internet. At each stop, representatives also share information on how people can apply for a Recovery Act job at SRS.
