JDSU selects Mocana to secure TestPoint family of broadband test solutionsNov 17, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- JDSU, a provider of communications test and measurement solutions and optical products, has selected Mocana, a provider of security solutions, to provide embedded security and device integrity for the JDSU TestPoint family of broadband test solutions. According to Mocana, JDSU TestPoint offers a telecom and datacom test solution for production and service verification testing. It consists of a modular platform that provides versatility in configuring interface types, transmission rates, protocols, and port density. A key TestPoint attribute is support for multiple rates on single modules. The platform also features graphical user interface and automation interfaces. Mocana has said that the platform is available in three chassis formats, and provides 1/2/4/8/10G Fibre Channel support and ethernet features from 10Mb/s up to 10GigE. Transport protocol coverage includes synchronous optical networking/synchronous digital hierarchy up to 39.813Gb/s and optical transport network up to 43.018Gb/s including overclocked rates. Guylain Barlow, senior product line manager of JDSU's communications test and measurement business segment, said: "Mocana's NanoSSH software helped accelerate our development cycle for secure connectivity to the TestPoint product. Mocana's technology is the fastest, smallest SSH implementation we've seen, and the quality of their code can't be beat. They really understand device integrity, and the special challenges of securing embedded platforms." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
