[November 17, 2009] AME Info, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, telecommunications briefs Tweet Nov 17, 2009 (AME Info - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- ETISALAT ADDS INTERNATIONAL VOICE SMS: Etisalat is launching an international voice SMS service for UAE customers. Initially the service will only allow customers to send and receive international voice SMS' to and from the UAE to customers of Etisalat in Egypt. But it will then be extended to cover over 26 countries, although no date was given for when this would happen. RAYA POSTS LOWERED PROFITS: Egypt-based Raya Technology and Communication has reported a net profit of EGP25.2m ($4.6m) in the first nine months of the year, Reuters has reported.
