[November 17, 2009] 'Canal Digital to launch satellite VoD next April' Tweet Nov 17, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- Telenor pay TV subsidiary Canal Digital will launch a VoD service for satellite subscribers in the Nordic region next April, Telenor Broadcast CEO Christian Albech told Broadband TV News. Canal Digital will then introduce the service on cable before June. The VoD service will take advantage of new STBs, for which a tender is currently underway. Rival platform Viasat offers VoD online and through its progressive download system running on NDS technology.
