'Interactive Intelligence offers Interaction SIP Station'

Nov 17, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- IP communications system supplier Interactive Intelligence is releasing the Interaction SIP Station, a new communications endpoint device designed as an alternative to IP desk phones. The Interaction SIP Station has a dedicated chip-set for high quality audio and is designed to work in conjunction with a headset and the Interactive Intelligence Interaction Client, a PC-based call control software application that includes features, such as call recording, call rules, conferencing, presence management, company directory look-up, queue monitoring, and call history. The Interaction SIP Station measures 4.5 x 4.5 x 1.5 inches and its physical buttons include pick-up/disconnect, mute, volume control, emergency speed dial, and a multi-function status LED.

The Interaction SIP Station uses power over Ethernet. The Interaction SIP Station is targeted at mid-size to large contact centres and enterprises, and will be sold as an optional device with the Interactive Intelligence all-in-one IP communications software suite, Customer Interaction Center. The Interaction SIP Station is planned for general availability throughout North America and in many European countries in Q4.
