[November 17, 2009] ASUS Selects Mellanox for InfiniBand Adapter Devices Tweet Nov 12, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- ASUS and Mellanox Technologies, a supplier of connectivity solutions for data center servers and storage systems, announced the launch of ASUS Z8PH-D12 SE/QDR, a half size serverboard equipped with Mellanox ConnectX 40Gb/s InfiniBand Host Channel Adapter (HCA) devices supporting Landed-on-Motherboard applications. Built around Intel Xeon 5520 Series processors with DDR3 memory, the Z8PH-D12 SE/QDR is a compact serverboard equipped with onboard enhancements such as ASUS EPU (Energy Processing Unit) and ASMB4-iKVM for power efficiency and remote control of multiple computers. Equipped with Mellanox's 40Gb/s InfiniBand fabric connectivity, the Z8PH-D12 SE/QDR serverboard is designed to offer performance for a range of HPC applications.
