Vizada said this was primarily driven by an increase in demand for mobile satellite services among government aeronautical and commercial maritime customers. Vizada received the award at the Inmarsat Global Partner Conference 2009 in Berlin, Germany. Revenues generated by Inmarsat aeronautical services for Vizada increased nearly 50 percent from September 2008. "Vizada has consistently outperformed the market since it began supplying mobile satellite services to the aeronautical market more than twenty years ago, and today we are a provider of Inmarsat aeronautical services in the world," said Bob Baker, President and COO, Vizada Americas. "In addition to Inmarsat's aeronautical service portfolio, customers rely heavily on Vizada's industry-best customer care and technical support." Vizada also registered a performance for the sale of mobile satellite services to the commercial shipping sector, with revenues increasing nine percent year over year.
