[November 16, 2009] European development collaboration venture between Vodafone and Huawei to drive innovation Tweet Nov 16, 2009 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Huawei, a network systems provider, and Vodafone, an international mobile network operator, said today that they have opens a laboratory in Milan, Italy, which will be used to drive innovation in core networking technologies. The Core Network Innovation Centre (CIC) is equipped with the latest Huawei mobile and core network equipment and technologies. The collaborative research project will aim to give both Vodafone and Huawei a competitive edge in core network areas, such as Mobile Broadband, IMS (IP Multimedia Sub-system) and FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence), eventually bringing new ideas to fruition, enabling timely market launches.
