IBM Launches Business Analytics Software in ChinaBEIJING, Nov 13, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- IBM (NYSE: IBM) put up its business analytics software in China on November 12, 2009, about 20 days after the global launching, citing a report. The first batch of China-oriented IBM business analytics products include Cognos, human resource, supply chain, and content analytics software, which are expected to help corporate customers make appropriate decisions via the interpretation of production, distribution, supply, and Internet media information. IBM set up its analytics and decision-making center in China this August, representing its optimism about the local market, said an IBM executive, adding that four of the five biggest Chinese banks have been using his company business analytics software by far. IBM started its arrangement in the business analytics sector as early as 2005, and has expanded into the database, data warehouse, business intelligence, content management, and industry framework niches. Meanwhile, it acquired 13 related companies, such as SPSS Inc. and Las Vegas-based SRD. Source: www.163.com (November 13, 2009) |
