[November 11, 2009] MRV Communications Q3 net loss narrows Tweet Nov 11, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- MRV Communications, a provider of telecommunications services, has reported a net loss attributable to the company stockholders of $0.5 million for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared to a net loss of $9.9 million, or $0.06 per share, in the same quarter of 2008. For the third quarter of 2009, total revenues were $128.9 million, compared to $130.6 million in the third quarter of 2008. For the first nine months ended September 30, 2009, net loss attributable to the company stockholders was $21.6 million, or $0.14 per share, compared to a net loss of $12.8 million, or $0.08 per share, in the comparable period of 2008. Total revenues were $366.81 million, compared to $403.79 million in the same period of 2008. The third quarter results demonstrate improved revenue and gross margin, and reduced operating expenses.
