Berberian, whose resume include being a co-founder and chief executive of companies such as Raindance Communications Inc., is expected to discuss "How to Pick a Business Worth Starting." The event will start at 6 p.m. and take place at the CU law school's Wittemyer Courtroom. Berberian's speech will be followed by a networking session geared toward helping internship-seeking CU students make connections with local startups. The New Venture Challenge, an interdisciplinary collaboration that is in its second year, was created to provide mentorship and educational opportunities to CU students and faculty. One of the events at the challenge will be the Nov. 18 "Pitch Day," where entrants will share their business ideas and network with people from other programs -- including law, business, engineering and liberal arts -- at CU. The New Venture Challenge also includes a business plan competition that will culminate in March 2010. For more information, visit: www.cunvc.org.
