Skyworks Solutions Q4 net income downNov 09, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Skyworks Solutions, a provider of analog and mixed signal semiconductors, has reported a net income of $56 million, or $0.32 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter ended October 2, 2009, compared to $54.79 million, or $0.33 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009, total revenues were $228.15 million, compared to $232.57 million for the same quarter of fiscal 2008. For the fiscal year ended October 2, 2009, total revenues were $802.58 million, compared to $860.02 million for the same period of fiscal 2008. Net income was $93.29 million, or $0.55 per diluted share, compared to $111.01 million, or $0.68 per diluted share, for the same period of fiscal 2008. David Aldrich, president and CEO of Skyworks Solutions, said: "Skyworks's improving financial performance reflects the growing momentum of the mobile internet and increasing demand for always-on connectivity, particularly given the ubiquity of social networking applications and the proliferation of smart phones, notebooks, netbooks and embedded wireless devices.
