RiverMuse appoints President and CEO Jean-Luc Valente(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Today, RiverMuse appoints Jean-Luc Valente as President and CEO. This announcement coincides with the company's roll out of next generation event management software. RiverMuse is the first - and only - commercial open source company of its kind in the event and fault management field and it is on course to set a new industry benchmark. Jean-Luc (JL) brings a wealth of operating experience in building businesses from the ground up, valuable industry connections and a tribal knowledge of the changing world of network and system management, all backed by strong credentials. He will be based between RiverMuse's HQ in the Silicon Valley, USA and the company's European office in London. JL joins resident visionaries at RiverMuse who were the original team behind the inventions of Micromuse and RiverSoft (now IBM Tivoli Netcool and HP OpenView Advanced Edition). They are: Phil Tee, Predrag (Fred) Mutavdzic, Mike Silvey and Phil Blades. As President and CEO, JL will set the strategic direction of the company and aggressively drive execution, ultimately making RiverMuse the "final word" in event and fault management.
