BRIEF: CPM Marketing buys former Emerson building

Nov 05, 2009 (The Wisconsin State Journal - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- CPM Marketing Group has purchased the building at 8310 Excelsior Drive, formerly occupied by Emerson Network Power.

The purchase price was more than $5 million, according to Siegel-Gallagher Madison, which handled the transaction with Oncor International affiliate Paine Wetzel of Chicago.

CPM, currently leasing space nearby at 1200 John Q. Hammons Drive, has not said yet when it will move to the 45,000-square-foot building. The purchase includes an adjacent, vacant seven-acre lot.

CPM provides database management software to health care institutions and services such as health risk assessments. The family-owned company has 140 employees but expects to add about 20 in the near future. CPM has seen employment grow 30 percent a year for each of the past several years, said Erick Hallick, senior vice president of operations.
