BigBand Networks reports net loss in Q3


Nov 05, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- BigBand Networks, a provider of broadband services, has reported a net loss of $10.9 million, or $0.16 per diluted share, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared to a net income of $3.1 million, or $0.05 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2008.

For the third quarter of 2009, total revenues were $22.20 million, compared to $48.3 million in the third quarter of 2008.

For the first nine months ended September 30, 2009, total revenues were $105.1 million, compared to $131.2 million in the same period of 2008. Net loss was $5.50 million, or $0.08 per share, compared to a net income of $2.5 million, or $0.04 per diluted share, in the same period of 2008.
