'Abertis revenue up 23% to EUR 390 mln in Q3'Nov 05, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- Abertis Telecom, the telecoms business of Spanish telecommunications infrastructure company Abertis, reported third-quarter revenues of EUR 390 million, up 23 percent versus the year-earlier period. The growth was mainly boosted by the addition of Spanish satellite operator Hispasat to the consolidation scope, and the rollout of DTT services which now cover 96 percent of the population or nearly over 44 million people. EBITDA jumped 36 percent in the period to EUR 172 million at end-September. The telecoms currently business accounts for 13 percent of Abertis' total revenues and 9 percent of the overall group EBITDA. In the satellites sector, Eutelsat contributed EUR 44 million in this year's third quarter, while Hispasat contributed EUR 15.6 million.
