Presidio Networked Solutions Program Identifies Grant Funding for IT Solutions
GREENBELT, MD, Nov 04, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
Presidio Networked Solutions, Inc., the leading provider of
professional and managed services for the full lifecycle of
advanced IT infrastructure solutions, today announced the launch of
its Presidio Grants Office program, developed to help organizations
identify and secure grant funding for IT projects. This high-value
program helps organizations identify IT funding opportunities from
more than $400 billion of grant monies available in the U.S. each
year.
In partnership with Cisco, Presidio has retained the Grants Office, a
third party company, to help healthcare, education, state, and local
government customers navigate the often convoluted process of
identifying and securing grants, for the appropriate technology
solutions. The Presidio Grants Office program can be particularly
advantageous to state, local, education (SLED), or healthcare
entities seeking funding for critical IT programs.
Leveraging Presidio's Grants Office program can dramatically expand
the pool of potential funding resources and ensure maximum financial
support. Additional funding sources might include Department of
Transportation, Homeland Security, direct and neighboring state and
county grants, as well as other nationally directed grants.
"Tapping existing grant programs and identifying future stimulus
opportunities can be a daunting task for many organizations," said
Todd Brinegar, Chief Marketing Officer of Presidio Networked
Solutions, Inc. "Our SLED and healthcare customers can now leverage
our expertise to identify resources that may have been previously
unknown to them."
The Presidio Grants Office program, notes company officials, comes at
a time when customers are ramping up their search for alternative
funding resources, while under pressure to implement greater
operational efficiencies and cope with a tough economy. While the flow
of stimulus dollars from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
(aka the "Stimulus Bill") may still be on the horizon, Presidio is
helping its customers now -- and into the future -- by considering
all resources available from U. S. government funding programs.
"Our Grants Office program is just another example of how Presidio is
working to meet the unique needs of our customers, in a time when
funding for projects is at a critical juncture," said Brinegar. "There
are literally thousands of grants available to fund infrastructure
modernization projects, but few organizations have the resources to
take advantage of them. By teaming with Cisco and the Grants Office,
Presidio is helping its customers cut through the red tape to gain
access to a veritable wealth of grant dollars, often aggregated from
multiple entities."
