'Kabelservice Prenzlau launches broadband, fixed telephony'

Nov 04, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- German regional cable network operator Kabelservice Prenzlau has launched broadband and fixed telephony services on its cable network.

The operator is a joint venture between Versatel's cable subsidiary Versatel Telekabel and local utilities provider Stadtwerke Prenzlau.

Households connected the network can now order broadband services with maximum download speeds up to 20 Mbps plus a fixed phone line including free calls to other Versatel Telekabel telephony customers.



Kabelservice Prenzlau currently provides analogue and digital TV and radio services to around 6.200 households in Prenzlau.
