Synchronica signs USD270,000 contract with Southern African mobile operator

(EquityBites Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Mobile e-mail and data synchronisation provider Synchronica plc (LSE:SYNC) has signed a contract worth USD270,000 with a Southern African mobile operator, the company reported on Monday.

This contract covers an initial 100,000-user licence for Synchronica's mobile e-mail product Mobile Gateway, as well as ongoing professional services.

The unnamed mobile operator customer is said to be part of a larger group which has several operations in Central Africa. Synchronica has been in talks with several subsidiaries of the group and this is its third order from a subsidiary of the group.

The mobile operator will use Synchronica's Mobile Gateway technology to offer a push mail and mobile synchronisation service to its subscribers.
