BroadSoft acquires Packet Island


Oct 29, 2009 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- BroadSoft, Inc. has acquired Packet Island, Inc., a provider of software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based assessment and monitoring tools for voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) and video networks and services. Both the companies are based in the US.

BroadSoft is a provider of residential and business VoIP application software.

Announcement (October 5, 2009): BroadSoft is planning to acquire Packet Island.


Earlier, Packet Island raised $3 million in venture capital funding from Garage Technology Ventures, LLC, Rincon Venture Partners, and Startup Capital Ventures.
