XO Communications names chief marketing officer for business services division


Oct 26, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- XO Communications has appointed Michael Toplisek as chief marketing officer for its business services division. He reports to Dan Wagner, president of XO business services.

In his new role, Mr Toplisek will focus on enhancing the company's services and solutions portfolio and associated growth initiatives as the company targets a broader share of the enterprise market. He will be responsible for expanding marketing's role as a stimulus for XO's growth strategy, cultivating new opportunities in both new and existing market segments, and overseeing the XO national and strategic accounts organization which supports Fortune 1000 companies.

Prior to joining XO Communications, Mr Toplisek served as senior vice president of global enterprise and collaboration services for Global Crossing. In this role he oversaw all matters related to Global Crossing's worldwide enterprise, client support, sales engineering, government, systems integration and collaboration services teams. Prior to joining Global Crossing, Mr Toplisek held various sales leadership positions at MCI and other corporations in the telecommunications industry.
