MegaPath Expands IP PBX Certified Partner ProgramOct 26, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- MegaPath, a provider of managed IP data, voice, and security services in North America, announced the expansion of the company's IP PBX Certified Partner program providing more choices for customers when selecting voice and data hardware. With over 15 certified partners, the program is designed to ensure that third-party IP PBX hardware meets MegaPath's high performance and scalability standards. MegaPath's standard interoperability evaluation tests product features, including authentication and registration, inbound and outbound calling, caller ID, DTMF tone transmission, hunting, group features, auto attendance and most of the standard individual features of a PBX. Grandstream Networks enterprise portfolio of IP devices, including its GXE502x IP PBX and GXP enterprise phones were one of the first to receive certification as part of MegaPath's new partner program. MegaPath's Duet SIP Trunking service delivers business-class phone capabilities and a 1.5 Mbps Internet T1 connection. Customers can either leverage their existing certified IP PBX system or work with a MegaPath certified partner to implement new hardware. Because Duet is a fully-managed service, there are no upfront investments or equipment costs, and customers can offload management resources to MegaPath.
