Caymanians making strides at Digicel [Cayman Net News, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands]

(Cayman Net News (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oct. 25--Digicel Cayman has strengthened its team of professional salespeople with the promotion of two employees -- Evil Ritch and Dane Ramoon -- who have worked their way up the ranks of the sales team, and one new addition to the team -- Cebert Wood -- who brings with him a wealth of sales experience.

Evil Ritch and Dane Ramoon joined the ranks of 'movers and shakers' within the company after their recent promotions to Channel Sales Manager and Store Manager respectively, at the company's headquarters in George Town.

Ritch, as he is affectionately called by friends and colleagues, joined Digicel after the Cingular acquisition in 2004. He has served in several capacities throughout the company with his most recent role as store manager for Digicel's flagship stores at Galleria Plaza and Camana Bay. To date, he has grown from strength to strength and shown himself to be an exemplary employee driven by "determination to deliver excellent customer service." This bilingual sports fanatic brings with him an eclectic mix of discipline, hard work and professionalism. When asked about his vision and goals in his new role as Channel Manager, Ritch emphatically stated that he is determined to "manage and maintain the relationships between Digicel, its customers and its Authorized Dealers -- maintaining efficiency and maximizing opportunities." Another, young bright Caymanian, Dane Ramoon, began working at Digicel in September 2008 in the role of Sales and Service Representative and demonstrated an exceptional ability to lead and deliver positive results. In August 2009, Dane's hard work and dedication paid off when he was promoted to the position of Retail Store Manager for Digicel Camana Bay. A past student of John Gray High School, Mr Ramoon is currently pursuing further studies through the University of Phoenix.

New to the Digicel family is Cebert Wood as a Sales and Service Representative at the company's flagship store in Camana Bay. He brings with him over seven years of sales and customer service experience. The Universal Technical Institute graduate was motivated to join Digicel mainly because of the company's corporate culture that keenly pursues and promotes employees' growth and development. Since joining, Mr Wood has taken advantage of the many training opportunities and has successfully developed greater knowledge of Digicel's products and services.

CEO of Digicel Cayman, Victor Corcoran, congratulated all three gentlemen on their accomplishments -- "Digicel's success across the Caribbean is mainly due to the hard work and dedication of its employees. Evil, Dane and Cebert have all embodied the Digicel core values of offering the best service and value. There is endless potential in the Cayman Islands, and we are here to do our part in honing the skills of those committed to always delivering on service. We would like to congratulate these young men on making their mark within the Digicel story in the Cayman Islands." Since its launch in 2001, Digicel has become the largest wireless telecommunications operator in the Caribbean with more than six million customers. After seven years, Digicel is renowned for competitive rates, unbeatable coverage, superior customer care, a wide variety of products and services and state-of-the-art handsets. By offering innovative wireless services and community support, Digicel has become a leading brand in the Caribbean and has placed the region at the cutting-edge of wireless communications -- the company is also a new entrant to the Central American market.
