China Researched Encrypted Mobile Phone Model

BEIJING, Oct 23, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The National Information Security Engineering Center (NSEC) recently researched a new encrypted mobile phone model, SHS08, to efficiently solve the mobile phone secret-leaking problem.

The SHS08 mobile phone model uses security chip with independent intellectual property right. Passing through the technology identification by the relevant authority, the mobile phone model now is available by users. It is beneficial to the state information security.

Earlier, a 32-digit security chip based on the TCM standard also had been unveiled, enriching the portfolio of China-made chip products.

The chip passed through the Chinese regulator's testing in March 2009. It can be used not only for personal computers but also for lots security equipments, such as embedded equipment, set-top boxes, 3G products, PDA, and consumer electronics, said a person in the know.

Security chip has been the focus of the domestic information security field.
