[October 23, 2009] 'Sagemcom awards global outsourcing contract to OBS' Tweet (DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) French telecommunications equipment maker Sagemcom has awarded a four-year outsourcing contract for its entire information system to Orange Business Services. The EUR 40 million contract encompasses Sagemcom's migration, hosting and all global IT infrastructure operations, including third-party application maintenance, user support, telephony services and data network. OBS will provide support for the entire working environment of 5,000 PCs and 200 applications used at more than 30 sites worldwide. Sagemcom, until recently called Sagem Communications, provides set-top boxes, broadband and residential terminals, printers, M2M communications and other products and services.
