Alta Data Releases MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC Product Support for RTX 2009

Oct 18, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Alta Data Technologies (Alta), a developer of avionics interface modules, announced new support for IntervalZero's RTX 2009 software, which extends the capabilities of Microsoft Windows operating systems.

An RTX driver is provided at no cost with Alta's standard MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC interface cards.

"This new driver support enables our customers to integrate Alta 1553 and ARINC products into RTX/Windows environments," said Rich Wade, CTO of Alta. "RTX is well-designed software that provides our customers deterministic, real-time performance with Alta's products for Windows platforms." Alta announced it has introduced several new standard features such as signal capture, signal generators and packetized 1553 Common Data Packet architectures. Provided with most cards is a modular AltaAPI software tool kit that ports between operating systems and provides true, independent application support between device channels. Alta's PCI/PCI Express, PMC, XMC, PCCARD, VPX, cPCI and PCI Express interface cards and software are offered in multi channel configurations and includes ARINC combination channels on most platforms. Operating system platforms include MS Windows, Wind River VxWorks, Greenhills Integrity, LynxWorks LynxOS, Linux 32-bit and 64-bit, National Instrument's LabView/LabWindows and Sun Solaris Solaris.
