President Obama used the National Cyber Security Month address to focus on the responsibility that the government, private sector and everyday citizens share for ensuring America's cyber security.

The President's words are being converted to action this month as hundreds of federal, state and local government agencies, companies, non-profits and everyday citizens have deployed themselves to educate millions of Americans about the importance of online security to themselves, their communities and the nation.


In his online address, President Obama specifically called on all Americans to remember three basic cybersecurity principles: 1. Keep security and software systems up-to-date and beware of suspicious email.
