[October 16, 2009] Mindspeed's broadband gateway processor selected by Beceem Communications Inc Tweet Oct 16, 2009 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- Supplier of semiconductor solutions Mindspeed Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:MSPD) has provided its Comcerto 100 broadband gateway processor for use within the BCS5200 customer premise equipment (CPE) chip of mobile WiMAX chips provider Beceem Communications Inc, the company said on Thursday. The BCS5200 is a single-chip WiMAX with integrated voice and gateway router functionality. It started shipping in commercial volumes in the second quarter of 2009. Mindspeed's Comcerto 100 processor combines a VPN/WAN router platform with a guaranteed low-latency voice subsystem. Financial details were not available.
