Swedish Tilgin wins software order in Denmark

(Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Swedish triple-play solutions provider Tilgin AB (STO: TILG) said today it has won a contract with an initial value of some SEK2m to provide its gigabit home gateways software in Denmark.

The contractor is Danish fiber-network operator Bredband Nord.

This is the first order for Tilgin's latest technology and it will enable Bredband Nord to offer unrivalled performance to its end-users, Tilgin said.

Tilgin's full-service routing solution, based on its home gateway HG1300 for gigabit access is developed to further enhance IPTV services of broadband operators. It allows for HDTV with multiple video-streams in parallel, as well as communication between different devices in the home.

Bredband Nord will introduce Tilgin's solution for triple play along with the home gateway software HGA 570 and Tilgin's ACS, the remote management software VCM 5, to fiber-connected households in Denmark.
