Altitude Software announces availability of Skype access solution for contact centres

Oct 12, 2009 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Contact centre solutions provider Altitude Software announced on Monday that Skype for Asterisk built-in with its Altitude IP Contact Center solution, an enterprise customer interaction management solution suite, is now generally available.

This will allow Altitude Software contact centre customers access to 480m Skype users worldwide, through adding Skype as a new interaction channel to their Altitude uCI platform on the contact centre.

Companies can use the new functionalities to set up single 'global toll free' numbers and provide effective support and services to customers making Skype calls to the contact centre.

This software solution runs on the Altitude vBox communications platform, a supported SIP server which allows SIP and ISDN connectivity in contact centres and runs on top of Asterisk and Digium ISDN boards.

Pricing details were not disclosed.
