[October 08, 2009] KeysCaribbean Resorts implements 8x8 Virtual Office VoIP phone solution Tweet (Corporate IT Update Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) IP communications solutions provider 8x8 Inc (Nasdaq:EGHT) announced on Thursday that vacation rental management company KeysCaribbean Resorts is enhancing its telecoms capabilities with the 8x8 Virtual Office VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone solution. According to the company, KeysCaribbean first installed the phone solution in its eight seat call centre to support its online reservation system. Guests use the call centre and its online counterpart to easily secure reservations for both resort accommodations and island activities. The selection of a hosted business VoIP phone service over an in-house PBX system saved the company over USD100,000 and enables it to make changes to its set-up quickly, without extra cost. Today, KeysCaribbean is saving nearly USD2,000 per month in phone charges. No other financial details were disclosed. 8x8 Virtual Office also helps KeysCaribbean to manage its many resorts across the 129 mile stretch of islands as if they were all in one location. In addition, the solution allows the company to include free long distance calling in its vacation packages.
