Datalink acquires Cross Telecom's networking solutions organisation for USD2mOct 07, 2009 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Data centre infrastructure, solutions and services company Datalink (Nasdaq:DTLK) announced on Tuesday that it acquired Minneapolis based Cross Telecom's networking solutions organisation on 1 October 2009, in a structure based asset purchase worth USD2m, a deal that strengthens its virtual data centre offering. A services agreement signed under the purchase agreement by both companies states that Cross will buy USD1.8m minimum of networking products and services from Datalink, over the next three years. Cross' team expertise in enterprise data networking, adds to Datalink's expertise in design, implementation and management of sophisticated storage, backup and recovery infrastructures and will enable the company to help customers build the consolidated networks required to support their virtual data centre infrastructures. Datalink expects the transaction to be a little accretive to earnings in the first 12 months and the acquisition resulted in it becoming a Cisco Silver Certified Partner.
