i2Telecom changes name to Geos CommunicationsOct 02, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- i2Telecom International, a US-based developer of mobile applications and services, has changed its name to Geos Communications. The move follows i2Telecom's transition from a company focused on the development of intellectual property to one focused on operations, leveraging the patented technology it has created. Along with the company headquarters moving from Atlanta, Georgia, to Southlake, Texas, the company's ticker symbol has changed from ITUI to GCMI. Andy Berman, CEO of the company, said: "This is a significant step in our evolution. We have developed an exceptional intellectual property portfolio. We have leading-edge products that produce true value for our customers, and we have a world-class management team who have put into place clearly defined goals and proven strategies for moving our company forward. The name change was the final piece of the puzzle to signify the completion of one phase of this process, and the beginning of another." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
