ReVerb Networks Completes Series A Financing at $9 Million

Oct 01, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- ReVerb Networks Inc. announced that the company has raised $9 million in its Series A financing.

Friedli Corporate Finance, an early-stage technology investor based in Zurich Switzerland, led the series A.

ReVerb said the funding will enable the company launch its VirtualRAN family of products, the PerformaNet suite of software solutions and the rV300 series of integrated radio antenna systems.

ReVerb said its two layered solution benefits wireless network operators by reducing both operating and capital expenses while delivering improved system performance and control. The software platform and hardware series are designed to work independently, but when used together create a solution to address ever increasing demands for bandwidth and the resulting operational challenges to the radio access network (RAN).

The company's PerformaNetSoftware Suite provides network operators a framework with individual product modules that are designed to diagnose trouble spots, script a solution and enable the corrections, through the centralized control of Antenna Interface Standards Group (AISG) RET (Remote Electrical Tilt) and other adjustable antennas.

ReVerb's patented digital beam forming technology is air-interface agnostic and designed to operate with any base station through a CPRI or OBSAI standard optical interface. This allows for deployments in both TDD and FDD technologies.

"Costs for green field build-outs and network expansions are a fraction of traditional costs," Peter Friedli, President of Friedli Corporate Finance. "We are very pleased with the early stage results and look forward to a full market launch." ReVerb Networks is a developer of Smart Antenna technology.
