Kineto Offers Mobile VoIP ApplicationSep 28, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Kineto Wireless, a provider of solutions that enable delivery of mobile services over broadband, said it is introducing mobile VoIP application specifically developed for mobile operators, enabling them to leverage their existing voice network infrastructure to offer a customizable mobile VoIP service. Kineto explained that its Mobile VoIP Application supports a range of standard mobile telephony capabilities and is designed to run on major mobile operating systems, including iPhone, Android, Symbian and Windows Mobile. The application can be branded by mobile operators and distributed to their subscribers through "application stores." "Kineto's Mobile VoIP Application is the first designed specifically for mobile operators which uses their existing voice infrastructure to address the growing threat of over-the-top competitive telecom services like Skype, Google Voice, Truphone and others," said Mark Powell, vice president and general manager of Kineto's Client Business Unit and co-founder. "This new product helps operators create and brand their own Wi-Fi calling service to meet subscriber demands for mobile VoIP." Kineto stated that its Mobile VoIP Application enables mobile operators to develop their own branded Wi-Fi calling service so they can: - Deliver an alternative to third-party mobile VoIP applications. - Increase the loyalty of existing subscribers. - Derive additional revenues currently being lost to competitive VoIP providers. - Provide additional subscriber benefits by linking a Wi-Fi calling service to an existing mobile subscription.
