Techno-Sciences Names New CEO


Sep 17, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Techno-Sciences announced the appointment of Jean-Luc Abaziou as the company's CEO.

Abaziou brings a long and impressive track record as an international senior executive at technology companies such as Ericsson and Alcatel. His extensive background in general management and telecommunications complements the strong technology, engineering and operations expertise of Techno-Sciences' management team.

Prior to this appointment, Abaziou was a venture partner at Highland Capital Partners where he specialized in investments in network infrastructure and wireless advancement, and took direct operational roles in some of the portfolio companies. Prior to working with Highland Capital, Abaziou was Vice President and General Manager of Ericsson IP Infrastructure, and President and CEO of both Torrent Networking Technologies (acquired by Ericsson) and Alcatel Data Networks. He has served on a number of boards and advisory boards, including for the French Foreign Commerce Ministry, George Washington University, the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, and the French-American Chamber of Commerce. He currently sits on the board of California-based ANDA Networks.

Techno-Sciences' existing management team will report directly to Abaziou. Dr. Gilmer Blankenship s as Chairman of the Board of Directors and will lead the company's technology vision and direction, augmented by Abaziou's extensive business and telecommunications experience.
