Former JBA International CEO, Richard G. Halperin Named to Interactive Intelligence Board of Directors


INDIANAPOLIS --(Business Wire)-- Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert) (Nasdaq: ININ), a global provider of unified IP business communications solutions, has elected former JBA International CEO, Richard G. Halperin to its board of directors.

Elected Sept. 11 and effective immediately, Halperin brings to the Interactive Intelligence board more than 30 years of sales and management experience working with large technology companies.

"Rick's extensive sales and executive management experience includes successfully leading several global technology companies through rapid periods of growth," said Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO, Dr. Donald E. During his tenure there the America's division grew from $9 million to $165 million in revenue, was consistently profitable, and had a successful IPO in 1994.



Prior to that, Halperin was System Software Associates' (SSA) vice president responsible for U.S. and International sales, services and marketing. During his tenure from 1985 to 1989 the company grew from $4 million to $95 million in application software revenue, was consistently profitable, and successfully went public in 1987.

Before joining SSA, Halperin was Wang Laboratories' area director responsible for sales, support, and administrative operations covering nine Midwestern states.


Prior to that, Halperin held marketing and management positions at IBM (News - Alert) Corp.

Halperin has been a board of directors' member for Story Inc., JBA International, Advanced Graphical Applications, Airborne Control Technologies, Made2Manage, Coherent Networks International, Epigraph, and multiple SSA affiliates. He is currently a member of the International Society of Philosophical Enquiry.

Halperin received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northwestern University in 1970. He resides in Jupiter, Florida.
