Ericsson to deliver TV platform to Swedish Com Hem

(Nordic Business Report Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) 8 September 2009 - Swedish telecoms equipment maker Ericsson (STO: ERIC B) said today it has agreed to deliver an on-demand TV platform to triple play services provider Com Hem AB.

No financial details were available.

The platform, which is designed, integrated and delivered by Ericsson, supports services, such as video-on-demand, catch-up and start-over TV programmes, and music on-demand. It also includes an interactive portal for Com Hem's new landlord-tenant service.

The platform features hardware and software solutions from Ericsson's subsidiary Tandberg Television, as well as products from third-party vendors.

Com Hem has started to roll out the new services and expects to reach 500,000 subscribers by December 2009.
