ADVA Optical Network's FSP 3000 ROADM solution deployed by Belgacom ICSSep 08, 2009 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Provider of telecommunications equipment ADVA Optical Networking (Frankfurt:ADV) (Xetra:ADV) announced today that Belgacom International Carrier Services (ICS), a wholesale voice carrier and provider of data transit services, has deployed the ADVA FSP 3000 to offer competitive 1Gbit/s and 10Gbit/s Ethernet and wholesale STM-1/4/16/64 wavelength services to its customers. Belgacom ICS deployed the ADVA FSP 3000, with its ROADM-based platform and multi-service cards, financial details of which were not known. This deployment reportedly enabled Belgacom ICS to increase the flexibility and overall quality of its network, while lowering power consumption, provisioning time and overall sparing and OPEX costs.
