WebTech Wireless Secures Order from Cybit for European Fleet Telematics Market


Sep 04, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- WebTech Wireless, a provider of location-based and fleet telematics services, announced that it has received an order for 3,500 model WT5000 Locators from UK-based Cybit, a European supplier of fleet telematics solutions.

WebTech Wireless has had a formal supply agreement in place with Cybit since 2007, delivering approximately 22,000 units to date.

WebTech Wireless' advanced, in-vehicle WT5000 Locator devices are a key component in Cybit's fleet and asset management solutions, sold to fleet operators throughout the UK and Europe. The WT5000 Locators help fleet operators remotely monitor and manage a wide variety of operating costs, increase the safety and security of drivers and cargo, enhance customer service, and reduce CO2 emissions through lower fuel use.


Steve Jones, Director of Specialist Tracking Solutions at Cybit, said, "We now have a considerable track record with WebTech Wireless and their WT5000 Locator, and have established a good working relationship with the WebTech team over the past couple of years. The performance and reliability of the WT5000 Locators meets the rigorous requirements we expect when supplying such devices to our many fleet customers."
