Apparent Networks Offers Enhanced PathView Version 2Sep 03, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Apparent Networks, a provider of network fault and performance management solutions, announced Version 2 of its PathView tool for network performance management. The new release extends PathView's path-based performance management capabilities into virtual environments to improve the reliability and quality of virtual service delivery. The company said Version 2 also includes support for PathView Report Server, a module with next-generation reporting capabilities that were jointly developed with leading PathView customers. PathView's patented technology troubleshoots network performance problems, monitors service levels, assesses network readiness for new applications, and reports on service delivery. PathView tools provide comprehensive views into physical and virtual infrastructures and their associated service levels. They give IT teams a complete picture of the health of their end-to-end networks including virtual machines. "Path management for virtual service delivery is the hottest growth area of our business today," said Jim Melvin, President and CMO of Apparent Networks.
