PathView Cloud makes PathView's path-based network performance management capabilities available to customers in flexible hosted service options. The goal of PathView Cloud is to bring the full complement of PathView capabilities to customers via a cloud service offer. The company explained that PathView Cloud can troubleshoot network performance problems, monitor service levels, assess network readiness for new applications, and reports on service delivery. It provides network managers and IT teams comprehensive views into physical and virtual infrastructures and their associated service levels. With PathView Cloud, IT teams can instantly get a complete picture of the health of their end-to-end networks, including any virtual resources. "Most customers we speak with have the double-edged challenge of providing better and more reliable IT services while holding the line on operational costs," said Jim Melvin, President and CMO of Apparent Networks. "To strike the optimal balance, many customers have implemented virtualization in their data centers.
