Fonix Appoints 4 New Execs to Its Board

Fonix announced the addition of four new members to its board of directors.
The four--Steven G. Jones, Barry G. Jordan, Gilbert R. Steedley and Von H. Whitby--offer professional experience in financial and M&A matters and operating consolidation in the embedded speech and voice recognition technology marketplace.
Steven G. Jones currently serves as Corporate Development Director for Fonix with primary focus on M&A. Experienced in mergers and acquisitions, he served as CEO of Auction Trust Network, an online auction company, and Solera Networks. He has also held a number of business development and sales/marketing posts.
Barry G. Jordan is Chairman of Prism Strategic Services Group, a strategic consulting company specializing in construction management guidance. Prior to founding Prism, Jordan was a management consultant for BoozAllen & Hamilton, where he performed strategic and operational consulting engagements with the company's Engineering and Manufacturing Group.
Gilbert R. Steedley is senior VP of Able Global Partners, a New York City-based merchant bank. He is past director of equities business development for the American Stock Exchange and specializes in equity and debt transactions.
Von H. Whitby is managing partner of Whitby, Santarlasci & Company, a privately held investment banking firm. He is co-founder of Investestate, a publicly-held real estate development and management company, and served as the chairman and CEO of Hydro Flame.
Fonix currently operates through its subsidiaries, Fonix Speech and Shanghai GaozhiSoft Fonix Speech is a speech recognition and text-to-speech technology company providing voice solutions for mobile/wireless devices, interactive video games, toys and appliances, computer telephony systems, the assistive market, and automotive telematics. Fonix Speech also provides developers and manufacturers with speech solutions for devices and systems.
